kitchen remodel

The TV shows have dramatic scenes of enthusiastic demolition culminating in a room that is stripped to the studs. And they make it look so fun and easy in their 60 minutes.

The reality is remodeling on this scale is dusty, dirty, sweaty, frustrating, and time consuming! But it is all worth it when you experience your brand new dream room.

When you remove everything from a room, the space becomes a blank canvas - so dream big! Open up walls; expand the footprint; flip all the mechanicals; create kitchen islands, designer showers, or plenty of storage; install Italian tile, Brazilian granite, and deep farmhouse sinks! If you can dream it, we can do it.

How can we make your dreams come true?

Gayton Grove

The customers called us in once they had done the demo and realized they were in over their heads. Ugly Duckling installed the shower; created a new maple-lined linen closet; put in a new window; laid all the tile; replumbed and rewired the entire space; drywall and painted.

After losing this bid to a cheaper competitor - they didn't return after the first day of demo! So Ugly Duckling stepped in and did what we do best - gave the customer exactly what they wanted.

Kitchen in a 1970's split level. Removed three walls and doorways and installed a 15 foot header. This space has been completely transformed from a dark, boxy utilitarian space to the light, open center of the family.

75 year old Cape Cod with a 1970's bathroom. Everything was removed save for the tub (which was stripped and reglazed). The clients were very involved in the DIY effort and relied on Ugly Duckling to resolve some tough challenges such as non code compliant electrical; crumbling plumbing; rerouting the venting and HVAC; and walls that were so crooked!
